Defender

2nd Regional Division (women)

Opportunity to Coach and Play in England for the season running from roughly September 2021-March 2022. We are a large club (European Club of the Year in 2014) and have a rapidly growing Junior section. We are keen to hear from players with strong coaching experience to come and play for the club on Saturdays, and coach the juniors on Sundays, and also some sessions during the week in return for Accommodation and Food to be covered by us. The Ladies section has grown significantly in recent years, and will have 5 sides out next season, and the 1s have moved up 2 divisions in the last 3 years. We are keen to support our talented juniors by offering excellent coaching and also bringing in some strong players, as well as provide work opportunities for anyone who is able to earn money whilst working in England. Therefore any player must have good to excellent English. We are interested from hearing from any players that are interested in coming to England, but in particular Defenders and Midfielders. We are happy to cover costs of Covid Tests in England, and can also support other costs - so please get in touch if you have any questions about what we can pay for. We do require anyone travelling to England to have received both vaccinations to ensure you have the best chance of being allowed to travel to England, and the minimum amount of time to quarantine.

Offerings

Accommodation

We will provide a room in a house within a couple of miles of the ground, and close to busy towns. We will also cover the costs of food for any coaches/players; both the room and the food will be provided in return for 6 hours of coaching each week (at the club, and in local schools). The accommodation is a shared house amongst some of our coaches/players, but everyone will have their own bedroom (there are 3 x doubles, and 1 single), and then the house has a garden, kitchen and lounge, plus Wifi etc.

Coaching opportunities

As well as the coaching listed above, there are also plenty of other coaching opportunities, which can be paid roles if the visa/permit for an overseas player allows; equally, if the coach/player is a British citizen or with British passport, there are lots of additional paid coaching hours that can be tied into this role.

Job

Additional work can be found/provided, if the player's visa/permit allows them to work and be paid.

Flight

Our offer does not include a "free" flight, but we are happy to support the costs of a flight, for the right candidate, and assuming they will cover these costs by coaching additional hours once in England.

Vehicle

Bicycles can be provided for any coach/player, plus there is the potential for a car which can be borrowed/shared if absolutely necessary - though this is not likely to be offered to most coaches. We will also provide lifts to and from most training and matches.

Over the past few seasons, we have had great success in supporting the opportunity for a number of players to stay in England for a few months, whilst travelling and seeing the Country and some of Europe, alongside playing for the club, and being involved withing our Coaching team. We have had players from South Africa, Australia, Pakistan, Brazil, Chile and Argentina involved in this programme. We can offer housing and food in return for 10 hours of coaching per week and playing at the club, and if travel visas allow, can also find additional work for the right coaches. Whilst we are keen to get strong players over, this opportunity is far more about supporting the development of our coaching programme, particularly with regards to our juniors, and hence we are primarily looking for fluent (or very good) English speakers, who have several years of experience in coaching (ideally players aged 8-16).
