Cheltenham Hockey Club is seeking to appoint a new coach for their Men’s 1st XI squad having retained National League status in the 2019/20 season. As a club we have over 120 years of hockey history and are well located with access to fantastic facilities. We currently run 4 Men’s teams and 3 Ladies’ teams in National and West Leagues in conjunction with a vibrant and successful Academy section. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who can build on our position and lead the team to future success. The successful applicant would be expected to: • Prepare a training plan for the squad. • Progress individual player skills and game play. • Run a minimum of two on-pitch training sessions per week (currently Tuesday and Thursday). • Conduct video and match analysis. • Attend all matches. • Participate in the Club’s team selection process. • Participate in player recruitment. • Deliver season summary reports. Qualifications: Level 2 (or equivalent) coaching qualification (or experience of playing at National League level). Remuneration will be dependent on qualifications and experience. First Aid certificate The applicant must pass a full DBS prior to commencement of the role. Terms: The role is initially for the 2020/21 season with the potential for extension, dependent on performance and results.
