Will Tom Boon be fit in time to play for the EHL?

With just 5 days to go before the start of the EHL, it seems that Tom Boon from Royal Leopold has picked up an injury. This will have Leopold supporters holding their breath in hope that he will be back to full fitness for the first game starting on Saturday the 3rd of April. With a heavily strapped hamstring, it will sure bring a slight worry to coach Robin Geens. The big question he will be asking is, will Tom be back to full strength in time? A striker like Tom that has such an eye for goal and the ability to convert chances, will not want to have him watching from the stands. If Tom Boon is not able to play this EHL that would be a great loss for Leopold and it would put more pressure on other players within the team to perform.

Tom Boon is currently in preparation for the Tokyo Olympics with the Belgium squad. He is an integral part of Royal Leopold men’s team as well as the Belgium National team. Between Club commitments, playing in the EHL and training for the Olympics, the load of hockey can only be a lot. We will have to wait and see and can only hope that we will see him in full action this weekend creating some magical goals that we have become used to seeing from him.
