EHL Recap - Der Club an der Alster

The german side faced Club de Campo in the semi-finals to what was set to be the first game of the 2021 EHL. An end to end game with no team able to break the deadlock as both sides were well structured. DCadA went behind to a short corner routine but fought back to try and get a goal. They won a short corner with one minute left on the clock and made it count as Felicia Wiedermann slotted the ball home to send the game to the first shootout of the tournament. Unfortunately, they were outdone by the Spanish side and lost 4-3. They now faced a tough dutch side the following day for 3rd and 4th place.

Their second game proved to be more challenging as they faced hosts AH & BC Amsterdam and it was clear that they weren’t going down without a fight. They came back twice from 1-0 down to 1-1 and from 2-1 to 2-2 as Hanna Valentin and Hannah Gablac scored for Der Alster. However, a controversial decision saw the german side go behind and concede another goal to finish fourth overall to conclude their journey in the first ever EHL.
