EHL Recap - Club de Campo

The spanish club were considered as underdogs by some, however they made their mark in the tournament in a solid performance against Der Alster in the semi-finals. They kicked off the EHL in style as Carmen Cano gave them the lead and marked her place in EHL history as the first woman to score in the Women's EHL after a short corner routine straight from the training ground. They were unable to hold onto their lead as Der Alster found an equaliser in the final minutes of the game. De Campo went on to score all four of their shootouts which sealed their spot in Monday's final.

They faced Hertogenbosch in the final to close off the 2021 EHL, however were no match for the dutch giants as they struggled to keep up with the pace of the game and ended up losing 5-0. Their EHL journey was a successful one as they finished with a silver medal and were gutted that they didn’t have a bigger impact on the final.
