EHL Recap - AH&BC Amsterdam

Amsterdam were hosts to the first edition of the Women's EHL and faced a very tough opposition in their first game, as they came up against no other than dutch rivals Hertogenbosch. They started off well even managing to keep out a penalty stroke and then taking the lead through Marijn Veen. They fought well, however were unable to see the game off as they conceded in the very end, and ended up losing the game on shootouts straight after.

AH & BC Amsterdam weren’t going to go down without a fight and had a point to prove as they faced Der Alster for a bronze medal. An unfortunate start to the game saw their captain Eva de Goede helped off the pitch after a horrible injury but that did not stop Amsterdam as they quickly took the lead through Freeke Moes. However, Der Alster reacted with an equaliser. Felice Albers shortly after gave Amsterdam the lead once again but the german side had a response as they drew level once again. Amsterdam put the game away with two quick goals from Felice Albers and Freeke Moes respectively. AH & BC Amsterdam won bronze as the game finished 4-2 to cap off a great performance from the dutch side.
