Draw made for re-arranged 2021 EuroHockey Championships

England’s men and women were handed exciting draws for the re-arranged 2021 EuroHockey Championships to be held in Amsterdam next summer.
Following the postponement of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics until next July-August, the tournament – which will also act as a qualifier for the 2022 Women’s Hockey World Cup and the 2023 Men’s Hockey World Cup - has now been moved to 4-13 June.
After finishing fourth and fifth respectively at last year’s event, England’s women and men will be hoping to return to the medal positions in 13 months’ time.
The men will once again come up against reigning world champions Belgium and Spain, having faced both in the group stages last year. They will be joined by Russia, newly promoted from the EuroHockey Championship II.
Mark Hager’s team avoided a Home Nations clash against Scotland but have been pitted against Germany – who they drew against in the group stages in 2019 – as well as Belgium and Italy.
