1st Regional Division (women)

Ladies Head Coach required Eastbourne Hockey Club are reviewing its coaching options and seeking a suitably qualified and experienced coach or player / coach to help drive the club forward. This is a hands-on role; as well as coaching the Ladies 1XI squad to perform to their potential, the successful candidate will take an active interest in the club and will either directly or through a number of assistant coaches ensure appropriate training for all. They will be expected to watch the various teams through the season. The successful candidate will need to ensure that their approach is aligned to the direction and philosophy of the club. With over 250 members Eastbourne Hockey Club is a large club in Sussex. We offer inclusive hockey to all levels and abilities and currently run 5 Ladies sides plus two junior girls development sides. Our Ladies 1XI will be playing in the newly formed Woman’s South East Premier Division. We have a pitch side clubhouse and sociable bar. Deliverables • Be person centred in their approach and find an appropriate balance between performance and developmental needs. • Create a purposeful and enjoyable training environment to allow players to thrive and flourish. • The ability to offer individual and collective feedback to the player group, both formally and informally. • Be able to work well leading a team of coaches in order to maximise the wider coaching offer Qualification • Appropriate coaching experience for the level required. • The desire to regularly commit to continued coaching and professional development opportunities.
